Support panel
The support panel is the message members use to open a ticket. You build it from blocks, and the preview shows how Discord will display it.
Panel channel
Choose the channel where Vex posts the panel. Members must be able to view the channel, and Vex must be able to view it and send messages in it.
Blocks
| Block | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Text | Headings, paragraphs and lists, with Discord formatting |
| Text with image or button | Text with a small image or a link button beside it |
| Images | A banner, or up to 10 images in a grid |
| Divider | A line or empty space between blocks |
| Link buttons | Up to 5 buttons that open a website |
| Area menu | A menu that lists your ticket areas |
| Ticket buttons | A Start a Ticket button, with an optional FAQs button |
Drag blocks to reorder them. Discord allows up to 40 components in one message, and the builder counts them for you.
Area menu or Ticket buttons
A panel contains either an Area menu or Ticket buttons, not both.
- Area menu: members choose one of your ticket areas, and the ticket opens in that area.
- Ticket buttons: members press Start a Ticket. If you turn on the FAQs button, members can read the answers from your Vex AI knowledge first.
Variables
| Variable | Replaced with |
|---|---|
{server} | Your server's name |
{responsetime} | Your average first response time, updated every hour |
Sending and updating
The first time, press Send to Discord. After that, the button reads Update panel, and Vex edits the same message, so the panel keeps its place in the channel and any links to it keep working.
